Trent Court Apartments

Trent Court, built in 1941, had 218 units of public housing. On September 14, 2018, Hurricane Florence forever changed Trent Court, flooding much of the property and rendering 108 of its units uninhabitable. Following the cleanup and mitigation efforts that were required immediately after the hurricane, much of the Authority's 2019 Trent Court efforts focused on continuing to address issues stemming from the historic flooding. In addition to the assorted repairs required for the remaining structures, the proximity of the uninhabitable units to the remaining units required a substantial effort to ensure that the vacated units were properly secured.
